Near the end of his life, Paul wrote these sobering words to his disciple, Timothy: “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching” (2 Timothy 4:1–2).
We view the preaching of God’s Word as the highlight of our time together as a church. We believe faithful expository preaching, which makes the main point of the passage the main point of the sermon, is vital to the health and mission of the church. On most Sunday mornings, we will be teaching our way through one of the books of the Bible.
